Policies & Procedures

Co-pays and Outstanding Balances
Co-pays and outstanding balances are collected at the time of the office visit. We accept cash, checks, VISA, MasterCard and Discover.
Test Results Policy
Routine lab tests should be done within one to two weeks prior to the next follow up office visit, so that the results can be discussed at the time of the visit. In case they are not available, the office staff will communicate the results to you within 2- 3 business days. Please call the office after one week in the event that you have not been contacted. Do not assume that “no news is good news”. Any blood work ordered by a different physician is not accessible to the practice. You may bring your own medical records to the office visit if available.
Prescription Refills
We will be refilling prescriptions that are prescribed only by our office. Please allow 24 to 48 hours for any requested prescription. For routine prescription, please provide the name of the medication and the pharmacy name, location and phone number. If prior authorization is required by your insurance, there may be an additional delay. If you miss your appointment, or have not scheduled a follow up visit when requested, only a one month refill will be given with the opportunity to schedule a follow up visit with the doctor to assure that you are taking the right dosage. No additional refills will be given until after you have been seen by the doctor. Please ask your pharmacy to request prescription refills preferably electronically or by fax.
Returned Check Fee
Any checks that are returned for insufficient funds are subject to a $30 processing fee. We will not be able to accept any personal checks until account balance and associated services fee are paid in full.
Telephone Policies
We are happy to answer your questions over the phone, but may be unavailable when you call. In that event, please leave a message with your full name and telephone number where you can be reached. Morning calls are generally returned the same business day. Afternoon calls are will most likely be returned that evening or the next day. If a question can be handled by the medical assistant, you may receive a call from one of them. If there is an emergency, we will make every attempt to see you.
Email Policy
We do respond to emails but not for emergencies or urgent matters as emails are only checked during business hours. Since confidentiality cannot be ensured over the web, we will assume that the patient is waiving their right if they need to contact us via email.
Both Dr Armellini and her staff were fantastic-professional, thorough, knowledgeable, and efficient. I’m really glad to have gotten in as a new patient.
